This Cookie Policy explains how Optiv Services LLC and its wholly owned subsidiaries, Cysecure Advisory Services ULC (Canada) and Cysecure Advisory Private Limited (India), operating under the brand Optiv Consulting (formerly part of Optiv Security) (collectively, "we," "us," or "our"), use cookies and similar technologies on our website at cysecureservices.com (the "Site"), and the choices you have to control them.
For more detail on how we handle personal information generally, please see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site recognize your device and remember information about your visit. Cookies may be set by the site you are visiting (first party cookies) or by a third party that provides a service used on the site (third party cookies).
A cookie can last only for the length of your visit (a session cookie) or remain on your device across visits until it expires or you delete it (a persistent cookie). Websites also use related technologies, such as pixels and similar identifiers, for comparable purposes.
How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies deliberately limited. We use cookies for a single purpose: to understand how the Site is used, on an aggregate basis, so that we can measure and improve it.
We do not use cookies for advertising or remarketing, we do not use them to build profiles about you for third party advertising, and we do not sell or share information collected through cookies for cross context behavioral advertising. The Site is built to function without cookies, so the analytics cookies described below are not essential and you can decline them.
Cookies we use
The Site uses analytics cookies set through Google Analytics, a measurement service provided by Google. These cookies help us understand information such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the Site. The table below lists them. Cookie names and lifespans are determined by Google and may change.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Type | Expiry |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Distinguishes individual visitors so that usage can be measured | First party, analytics | Up to 2 years |
_ga_<id> (e.g. _ga_7MWV3Y0MWE) |
Google Analytics | Persists session state for the analytics property | First party, analytics | Up to 2 years |
You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the method in Section 5.
Third-party connections
To load some resources, the Site connects to a small number of third parties. These connections can transmit technical data such as your IP address to the provider, but they do not set advertising or tracking cookies on our domain when a page loads:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com), to serve the typeface used across the Site.
- Formspree (formspree.io), which receives your message only at the moment you submit the contact form.
Each provider handles the data it receives under its own privacy and cookie policies. If we add embedded content or services that set their own cookies in the future, we will update this page.
How to control cookies
Because the cookies we use are for analytics and are not essential, you can decline or remove them without affecting how the Site works.
Opt out of Google Analytics
Install Google's opt out browser add on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout to stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits across all websites.
Manage cookies in your browser
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, the Site will still function. The following guides may help:
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, and we do not currently respond to them.
Back to topChanges to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in applicable law. When we make changes, we will revise the "Effective date / Last updated" line at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
